Amusoire

Amusoire is a French startup behind Bl!ndT?st, a musical blind test game playable in leisure centers throughout France. Amusoire began marketing their product by manually installing the system and BlindTest application on each sold unit. This solution allowed them to master their processes and ensure delivered quality. As they grew and to maintain a faster pace, Amusoire contacted Lenewt to simplify their installation process.

The Lenewt Solution

Understanding the Need

The first step was to discuss with the Amusoire team to understand the steps currently required between receiving the electronics and shipping with a fully functional system. From firmware configuration for secure boot to system installation. The goal was to automate all these steps.

The Solution

We configured a Linux live system to serve as installation support for BlindTest. The live system would boot, configure the UEFI, and install the BlindTest system image, all without human intervention.

To enable simple creation of USB installation keys, we also developed a tool allowing creation of an installation key in just a few clicks, based on a provided system image. The installation media and installed system were made cryptographically tamper-proof to prevent installation of unofficial potentially malicious systems. Everything was secured using Secure Boot, in accordance with Amusoire's specifications.
